Then Moses and the sons of Israel sang this song to YHWH, and spoke, saying: "I will sing to YHWH, for he is highly exalted; the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea.
My strength and song is Yah, and he has become my salvation (yeshuah); this is my God (El), and I will glorify him, the God of my father, and I will exalt him.
YHWH is a man (ish) of war; YHWH is his name.
Pharaoh's chariots and his army he has cast into the sea; and the choice of his officers are sunk in the Sea of Reeds.
The deeps cover them; they went down into the depths like a stone.
Your right hand, YHWH, is glorious in power; your right hand, YHWH, shatters the enemy.
And in the greatness of your majesty you overthrow those who rise against you; you send out your burning wrath, it consumes them like stubble.
And with the spirit (ruach) of your nostrils the waters were piled up; the flowing waters stood up like a heap; the deeps congealed in the heart of the sea.
The enemy said, 'I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my soul (nephesh) shall be filled with them; I will draw my sword, my hand shall dispossess them.'
You blew with your wind (ruach); the sea covered them; they sank like lead in the mighty waters.
Who is like you among the gods, YHWH? Who is like you, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonder?
You stretched out your right hand; the earth swallowed them.
You in your lovingkindness led the people whom you redeemed; you guided them in your strength to your holy habitation.
The peoples have heard, they tremble; anguish has seized the inhabitants of Philistia.
Then the chiefs of Edom were dismayed; the mighty ones of Moab, trembling seizes them; all the inhabitants of Canaan have melted away.
Terror and dread fall upon them; by the greatness of your arm they are still as a stone, till your people pass over, YHWH, till the people pass over whom you have purchased.
You bring them in and plant them in the mountain of your inheritance, the place for your dwelling which you have made, YHWH, the sanctuary, my Lord (Adonai), which your hands have established.
YHWH shall reign forever and ever.
For the horse of Pharaoh went in with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, and YHWH brought back upon them the waters of the sea; but the sons of Israel walked on dry ground in the midst of the sea.
And Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took the timbrel in her hand; and all the women (ishah) went out after her with timbrels and with dances.
And Miriam answered them, "Sing to YHWH, for he is highly exalted; the horse and its rider he has thrown into the sea."
And Moses led Israel onward from the Sea of Reeds, and they went out to the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.
And they came to Marah, and they could not drink the waters from Marah, for they were bitter; therefore its name was called Marah.
And the people murmured against Moses, saying, "What shall we drink?"
And he cried out to YHWH, and YHWH showed him a tree, and he cast it into the waters, and the waters were made sweet. There he set for him a statute (choq) and a judgment (mishpat), and there he tested him.
And he said, "If you will diligently listen to the voice of YHWH your God, and do what is right in his eyes, and give ear to his commandments (mitzvot), and keep all his statutes (chuqqim), all the disease which I put on Egypt I will not put on you; for I am YHWH your healer."
And they came to Elim, and there were twelve springs of water and seventy palm trees; and they encamped there by the waters.
