And you shall make an altar, a place to burn incense; of wood of acacia you shall make it.
A cubit its length, and a cubit its breadth — foursquare it shall be — and two cubits its height; from it shall be its horns.
And you shall overlay it with pure gold, its roof and its walls round about, and its horns; and you shall make for it a border of gold round about.
And two rings of gold you shall make for it under its border, upon its two ribs; upon its two sides you shall make them; and they shall be for places for the poles, to carry it with them.
And you shall make the poles of wood of acacia, and overlay them with gold.
And you shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the testimony (edut), before the ark-cover that is over the testimony (edut), where I will meet with you.
And Aaron shall make incense of spices smoke upon it; morning by morning, when he tends the lamps, he shall make it smoke.
And when Aaron causes the lamps to go up between the evenings, he shall make it smoke; a continual incense before YHWH throughout your generations.
You shall not offer up upon it strange incense, or burnt offering or grain offering; and you shall not pour a drink offering upon it.
And Aaron shall make atonement upon its horns once in the year; from the blood of the sin offering of the atonement once in the year he shall make atonement upon it throughout your generations; it is holy of holies to YHWH.
And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
When you take up the head of the sons of Israel for their numbering, then each man (ish) shall give a ransom for his soul (nephesh) to YHWH when you number them, that there be no plague among them when you number them.
This they shall give, everyone who passes over to those numbered: half of the shekel by the shekel of the holy; twenty gerahs the shekel; half of the shekel a contribution to YHWH.
Everyone who passes over to those numbered, from a son of twenty years and upward, shall give the contribution of YHWH.
The rich shall not increase, and the poor shall not diminish, from the half of the shekel, to give the contribution of YHWH, to make atonement upon your souls (nephesh).
And you shall take the silver of the atonements from the sons of Israel, and give it for the service (avodah) of the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed); and it shall be for the sons of Israel for a memorial before YHWH, to make atonement upon your souls (nephesh).
And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
And you shall make a basin of bronze, and its stand of bronze, for washing; and you shall put it between the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed) and the altar, and you shall put water there.
And Aaron and his sons shall wash from it their hands and their feet.
When they come to the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed) they shall wash with water, that they not die; or when they draw near to the altar to minister, to make an offering by fire smoke to YHWH;
And they shall wash their hands and their feet, that they not die; and it shall be for them a statute (choq) of forever, for him and for his seed throughout their generations.
And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying:
And you, take for yourself chief spices: of flowing myrrh five hundred, and of fragrant cinnamon half of it, two hundred and fifty, and of fragrant cane two hundred and fifty,
and of cassia five hundred, by the shekel of the holy; and oil of olive a hin.
And you shall make it an oil of holy anointing, a perfume mixture, the work of a perfumer; it shall be an oil of holy anointing.
And you shall anoint with it the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed), and the ark of the testimony (edut),
and the table and all its vessels, and the lampstand and its vessels, and the altar of the incense,
and the altar of the burnt offering and all its vessels, and the basin and its stand.
And you shall consecrate them, that they may be holy of holies; whatever touches them shall become holy.
And Aaron and his sons you shall anoint, and consecrate them, to act as priest to Me.
And to the sons of Israel you shall speak, saying: An oil of holy anointing shall this be to Me throughout your generations.
Upon the flesh (basar) of man (adam) it shall not be poured, and in its proportion you shall not make like it; it is holy, it shall be holy to you.
A man (ish) who compounds like it, or who puts from it upon a stranger, shall be cut off from his peoples.
And YHWH said to Moses: Take for yourself spices, stacte and onycha and galbanum, spices and pure frankincense; part for part it shall be.
And you shall make it incense, a perfume, the work of a perfumer, salted, pure, holy.
And you shall beat some of it fine, and put some of it before the testimony (edut) in the tent (ohel) of appointed time (moed), where I will meet with you; it shall be holy of holies to you.
And the incense which you shall make, in its proportion you shall not make for yourselves; it shall be to you holy for YHWH.
A man (ish) who makes like it, to smell with it, shall be cut off from his peoples.
