Ezekiel 26

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, on the first of the month, that the word of YHWH came to me, saying:

Son of man (adam), because Tyre said against Jerusalem, Aha, the gate of the peoples is broken; it has turned to me; I shall be filled, she is laid waste;

therefore thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Behold, I am against you, O Tyre, and I will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea brings up its waves.

And they shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers; and I will scrape her dust (aphar) from her, and make her a bare rock.

She shall be a spreading-place for nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken, the declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH; and she shall become a spoil to the nations.

And her daughters that are in the field shall be slain with the sword; and they shall know that I am YHWH.

For thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: Behold, I am bringing against Tyre Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon from the north, a king of kings, with horse and with chariot and with horsemen, and a company, and much people.

Your daughters in the field he shall slay with the sword; and he shall set against you a siege-wall, and cast up against you a mound, and raise against you a buckler.

And he shall set the blow of his battering engine against your walls, and your towers he shall break down with his axes.

From the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover you; from the noise of horseman and wheel and chariot your walls shall shake, when he enters into your gates, as men enter into a city broken open.

With the hoofs of his horses he shall trample all your streets; your people he shall slay with the sword, and the pillars of your strength shall go down to the ground.

And they shall make a spoil of your wealth, and a prey of your merchandise; and they shall break down your walls, and break down the houses of your delight; and your stones and your timber and your dust (aphar) they shall lay in the midst of the waters.

And I will make the multitude of your songs to shabbat, and the sound of your harps shall be heard no more.

And I will make you a bare rock; you shall be a spreading-place for nets; you shall be built no more; for I YHWH have spoken, the declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH.

Thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH to Tyre: Shall not the isles shake at the sound of your fall, when the wounded groan, when the slaughter is slain in the midst of you?

Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and remove their robes, and strip off their embroidered garments; with tremblings they shall clothe themselves, upon the ground they shall sit, and tremble every moment, and be appalled at you.

And they shall take up over you a lamentation, and say to you: How you have perished, O inhabited one, from the seas, the renowned city, that was strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, who put their terror upon all her inhabitants!

Now the isles shall tremble in the day of your fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be dismayed at your going out.

For thus says my Lord (Adonai) YHWH: When I make you a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited, when I bring up the deep upon you, and the many waters cover you,

then I will bring you down with those who go down to the pit, to a people of old, and make you dwell in the land of the lower parts, like ruins of old, with those who go down to the pit, so that you not be inhabited; and I will set glory in the land of the living (chai).

I will make you a terror, and you are no more; though you are sought, you shall not be found again, forever, the declaration of my Lord (Adonai) YHWH.
