1The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.
2And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the house of YHWH shall be established at the top of the mountains, and lifted up above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it.
3And many peoples shall go and say: "Come, and let us go up to the mountain of YHWH, to the house of the God of Jacob; and He will teach us of His ways, and we will walk in His paths." For out of Zion shall go forth Torah, and the word of YHWH from Jerusalem.
4And He shall judge between the nations, and decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.
5O house of Jacob, come, and let us walk in the light of YHWH.
6For You have forsaken Your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and with the children of foreigners they strike hands.
7And his land is filled with silver and gold, and there is no end to his treasures; and his land is filled with horses, and there is no end to his chariots.
8And his land is filled with idols; to the work of his hands they bow down, to that which his fingers have made.
9And man (adam) is bowed down, and man (ish) is brought low; and do not forgive them.
10Enter into the rock, and hide yourself in the dust (aphar), from before the dread of YHWH, and from the splendor of His majesty.
11The lofty eyes of man (adam) shall be brought low, and the haughtiness of men (ish) shall be bowed down; and YHWH alone shall be exalted in that day.
12For there is a day for YHWH of hosts (tzevaot) against all that is proud and lofty, and against all that is lifted up—and it shall be brought low;
13And against all the cedars of Lebanon that are high and lifted up, and against all the oaks of Bashan;
14And against all the high mountains, and against all the lifted-up hills;
15And against every lofty tower, and against every fortified wall;
16And against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all the desirable imagery.
17And the haughtiness of man (adam) shall be bowed down, and the loftiness of men (ish) shall be brought low; and YHWH alone shall be exalted in that day.
18And the idols shall wholly pass away.
19And they shall enter into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the dust (aphar), from before the dread of YHWH, and from the splendor of His majesty, when He arises to terrify the earth.
20In that day man (adam) shall cast away his idols of silver and his idols of gold, which they made for him to bow down to, to the moles and to the bats;
21To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the fissures of the crags, from before the dread of YHWH, and from the splendor of His majesty, when He arises to terrify the earth.
22Cease for yourselves from man (adam), in whose nostrils is breath (neshamah); for in what is he to be accounted?
