1At this also my heart trembles, and leaps from its place.
2Hear attentively the raging of his voice, and the sound that goes out of his mouth.
3Under all the heavens he lets it loose, and his light to the ends of the earth.
4After it a voice roars; he thunders with the voice of his majesty, and he does not hold them back when his voice is heard.
5God thunders marvelously with his voice; he does great things, and we do not know.
6For to the snow he says, 'Be on the earth'; and to the downpour of rain, and to the downpours of his mighty rains.
7He seals up the hand of every man (adam), that all the men (ish) of his work may know.
8And the living creature (chai) goes into the lair, and in its dens it dwells.
9From the chamber comes the storm, and from the scattering winds, cold.
10From the breath (neshamah) of God ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is in constraint.
11Also with moisture he loads the thick cloud; he scatters the cloud of his light.
12And it turns round about by his guidance, to do all that he commands (tzivvah) them upon the face of the world, earthward.
13Whether for a rod, or for his earth, or for lovingkindness, he causes it to come.
14Give ear to this, Job; stand and consider the wonders of God.
15Do you know when God lays his charge upon them, and causes the light of his cloud to shine?
16Do you know about the balancings of the cloud, the wonders of him who is perfect in knowledge?
17You whose garments are warm, when he quiets the earth from the south.
18Can you spread out with him the skies, strong as a molten mirror?
19Make us know what we shall say to him; we cannot set our case in order because of darkness.
20Shall it be told him that I would speak? If a man (ish) says it, surely he would be swallowed up.
21And now they do not see the light; bright it is in the skies, and a spirit (ruach) passes and cleanses them.
22From the north comes gold; upon God is terrible majesty.
23Shaddai—we cannot find him out; he is great in power, and judgment (mishpat) and abundance of righteousness he does not violate.
24Therefore men (ish) fear him; he does not regard any who are wise of heart."
