1And YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying:
2A man (adam), when there is in the skin of his flesh (basar) a rising, or a scab, or a bright spot, and it becomes in the skin of his flesh (basar) a plague of leprous disease, then he shall be brought to Aaron the priest, or to one of his sons the priests.
3And the priest shall look at the plague in the skin of the flesh (basar); and if the hair in the plague has turned white, and the appearance of the plague is deeper than the skin of his flesh (basar), it is a plague of leprous disease; and the priest shall look at him and pronounce him unclean.
4And if the bright spot is white in the skin of his flesh (basar), and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the plague seven days.
5And the priest shall look at him on the seventh day, and behold, if the plague has stayed in its appearance (in its eyes), the plague has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall shut him up seven days a second time.
6And the priest shall look at him on the seventh day a second time, and behold, if the plague is dim, and the plague has not spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; it is a scab; and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.
7But if the scab surely spreads in the skin after his being seen by the priest for his cleansing, then he shall be seen a second time by the priest.
8And the priest shall look, and behold, if the scab has spread in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is leprous disease.
9A plague of leprous disease, when it is in a man (adam), then he shall be brought to the priest.
10And the priest shall look, and behold, if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh of living (chai) flesh (basar) in the rising,
11it is an old leprous disease in the skin of his flesh (basar), and the priest shall pronounce him unclean; he shall not shut him up, for he is unclean.
12And if the leprous disease surely breaks out in the skin, and the leprous disease covers all the skin of the plague, from his head and to his feet, as far as all the sight of the eyes of the priest,
13then the priest shall look, and behold, if the leprous disease has covered all his flesh (basar), then he shall pronounce the plague clean; it has all turned white; he is clean.
14But on the day living (chai) flesh (basar) appears in him, he shall be unclean.
15And the priest shall look at the living (chai) flesh (basar) and pronounce him unclean; the living (chai) flesh (basar) is unclean; it is leprous disease.
16Or when the living (chai) flesh (basar) turns again and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest;
17and the priest shall look at him, and behold, if the plague has been changed to white, then the priest shall pronounce the plague clean; he is clean.
18And flesh (basar), when there is in it, in its skin, a boil, and it is healed,
19and in the place of the boil there is a white rising, or a reddish-white bright spot, then it shall be seen by the priest.
20And the priest shall look, and behold, if its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprous disease; in the boil it has broken out.
21But if the priest looks at it, and behold, there is no white hair in it, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, then the priest shall shut him up seven days.
22And if it surely spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague.
23But if the bright spot stays in its place, it has not spread, it is the scar of the boil, and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
24Or flesh (basar), when there is in its skin a burning of fire, and the raw flesh of the burning becomes a bright spot, reddish-white, or white,
25then the priest shall look at it, and behold, if the hair in the bright spot has turned white, and its appearance is deeper than the skin, it is leprous disease; in the burning it has broken out; and the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprous disease.
26But if the priest looks at it, and behold, there is no white hair in the bright spot, and it is not lower than the skin, and it is dim, then the priest shall shut him up seven days.
27And the priest shall look at him on the seventh day; if it surely spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a plague of leprous disease.
28And if the bright spot stays in its place, it has not spread in the skin, and it is dim, it is the rising of the burning, and the priest shall pronounce him clean; for it is the scar of the burning.
29And a man (ish) or a woman (ishah), when there is in him a plague on the head or on the beard,
30then the priest shall look at the plague, and behold, if its appearance is deeper than the skin, and in it there is thin yellow hair, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean; it is a scall; it is leprous disease of the head or of the beard.
31And when the priest looks at the plague of the scall, and behold, its appearance is not deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall shut up the plague of the scall seven days.
32And the priest shall look at the plague on the seventh day, and behold, if the scall has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the appearance of the scall is not deeper than the skin,
33then he shall be shaven, but the scall he shall not shave; and the priest shall shut up the scall seven days a second time.
34And the priest shall look at the scall on the seventh day, and behold, if the scall has not spread in the skin, and its appearance is not deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean; and he shall wash his clothes and be clean.
35But if the scall surely spreads in the skin after his cleansing,
36then the priest shall look at him, and behold, if the scall has spread in the skin, the priest shall not seek for the yellow hair; he is unclean.
37But if in his eyes the scall has stayed, and black hair has sprung up in it, the scall is healed; he is clean; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.
38And a man (ish) or a woman (ishah), when there are in the skin of their flesh (basar) bright spots, white bright spots,
39then the priest shall look, and behold, if in the skin of their flesh (basar) the bright spots are dim white, it is a tetter; it has broken out in the skin; he is clean.
40And a man (ish), when his head loses its hair, he is bald; he is clean.
41And if from the edge of his face his head loses its hair, he is forehead-bald; he is clean.
42But when there is in the bald spot, or in the bald forehead, a reddish-white plague, it is leprous disease breaking out in his bald spot, or in his bald forehead.
43Then the priest shall look at him, and behold, if the rising of the plague is reddish-white in his bald spot, or in his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprous disease of the skin of the flesh (basar),
44he is a leprous man (ish), he is unclean; the priest shall surely pronounce him unclean; his plague is in his head.
45And the leprous one in whom the plague is, his clothes shall be torn, and his head shall go loose, and he shall cover over the upper lip, and he shall cry, "Unclean, unclean."
46All the days that the plague is in him he shall be unclean; he is unclean; he shall dwell alone; outside the camp shall his dwelling be.
47And the garment, when there is in it a plague of leprous disease, in a garment of wool, or in a garment of linen,
48or in the warp, or in the woof, of the linen, or of the wool, or in a skin, or in any work of skin,
49and the plague is greenish or reddish in the garment, or in the skin, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin, it is a plague of leprous disease, and it shall be shown to the priest.
50And the priest shall look at the plague, and shut up the plague seven days.
51And he shall look at the plague on the seventh day; if the plague has spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in the skin, in all that the skin is made into for work, the plague is a malignant leprous disease; it is unclean.
52And he shall burn the garment, or the warp, or the woof, in wool or in linen, or any article of skin in which the plague is; for it is a malignant leprous disease; in the fire it shall be burned.
53And if the priest looks, and behold, the plague has not spread in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin,
54then the priest shall command (tzivvah), and they shall wash that in which the plague is, and he shall shut it up seven days a second time.
55And the priest shall look after the plague has been washed, and behold, if the plague has not changed its appearance (its eye), and the plague has not spread, it is unclean; in the fire you shall burn it; it is a fret, whether in its bare back or in its bare front.
56And if the priest looks, and behold, the plague is dim after it has been washed, then he shall tear it out of the garment, or out of the skin, or out of the warp, or out of the woof.
57And if it appears still in the garment, or in the warp, or in the woof, or in any article of skin, it is breaking out; in the fire you shall burn that in which the plague is.
58And the garment, or the warp, or the woof, or any article of skin which you wash, if the plague departs from them, then it shall be washed a second time, and shall be clean.
59This is the Torah of the plague of leprous disease of a garment of wool or of linen, or the warp, or the woof, or any article of skin, to pronounce it clean, or to pronounce it unclean.
