1And YHWH spoke to Moses in mount Sinai, saying:
2Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: When you come into the land which I am giving to you, then the land shall shabbat a Shabbat to YHWH.
3Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its produce.
4But in the seventh year shall be a Shabbat of Shabbaton for the land, a Shabbat to YHWH; your field you shall not sow, and your vineyard you shall not prune.
5The aftergrowth of your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your untrimmed vine you shall not gather; a year of Shabbaton it shall be for the land.
6And the Shabbat of the land shall be for you for food: for you, and for your bondservant, and for your maidservant, and for your hired one, and for your settler who sojourn with you;
7and for your cattle, and for the living thing (chai) which is in your land, shall all its produce be for food.
8And you shall number for yourself seven Shabbat periods of years, seven years seven times; and the days of the seven Shabbat periods of years shall be to you, nine and forty years.
9Then you shall cause a horn of a loud blast to pass through in the seventh month, on the tenth of the month; in the day of the atonements you shall cause a horn to pass through in all your land.
10And you shall sanctify the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty in the land to all its inhabitants; a Jubilee it shall be to you; and you shall return, a man (ish) to his possession, and a man (ish) to his family you shall return.
11A Jubilee it is, the fiftieth year shall be to you; you shall not sow, and you shall not reap its aftergrowth, and you shall not gather its untrimmed vines.
12For a Jubilee it is, holy it shall be to you; from the field you shall eat its produce.
13In this year of the Jubilee you shall return, a man (ish) to his possession.
14And when you sell a sale to your fellow, or buy from the hand of your fellow, you shall not oppress a man (ish) his brother.
15By the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your fellow; by the number of years of crops he shall sell to you.
16According to the abundance of the years you shall increase its purchase price, and according to the fewness of the years you shall diminish its purchase price; for a number of crops he is selling to you.
17And you shall not oppress a man (ish) his fellow, but you shall fear from your God; for I am YHWH your God.
18And you shall do my statutes (chuqqot), and my judgments (mishpat) you shall keep, and you shall do them; and you shall dwell on the land in safety.
19And the land shall give its fruit, and you shall eat to satisfaction, and you shall dwell in safety upon it.
20And when you say, What shall we eat in the seventh year? behold, we may not sow, nor gather our produce;
21then I will command (tzivvah) my blessing to you in the sixth year, and it shall make the produce for the three years.
22And you shall sow the eighth year, and eat from the old produce; until the ninth year, until its produce comes in, you shall eat the old.
23And the land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for sojourners and settlers are you with me.
24And in all the land of your possession you shall give a redemption for the land.
25When your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possession, then his redeemer, the near one to him, shall come, and shall redeem the sale of his brother.
26And a man (ish), when there is no redeemer for him, and his hand attains and finds enough for its redemption;
27then he shall reckon the years of its sale, and restore the surplus to the man (ish) to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his possession.
28But if his hand has not found enough to restore to him, then his sale shall be in the hand of the buyer of it ad(עד) the year of the Jubilee; and in the Jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return to his possession.
29And a man (ish), when he sells a house of dwelling in a walled city, then its redemption shall be until the completion of the year of its sale; for days shall its redemption be.
30And if it is not redeemed until the fullness of a complete year for it, then the house which is in the city which has a wall shall stand in perpetuity to the one who bought it throughout his generations; it shall not go out in the Jubilee.
31But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them, upon the field of the land shall they be reckoned; a redemption shall be for it, and in the Jubilee it shall go out.
32And the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, a redemption of perpetuity shall be to the Levites.
33And he who redeems from the Levites, then the sale of a house and the city of his possession shall go out in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites, it is their possession in the midst of the sons of Israel.
34And the field of the open land of their cities shall not be sold; for a possession of perpetuity it is to them.
35And when your brother becomes poor, and his hand wavers with you, then you shall strengthen him; a sojourner and a settler, that he may live (chai) with you.
36Take from him no interest or increase, but fear from your God; that your brother may live (chai) with you.
37Your money you shall not give to him on interest, and on increase you shall not give your food.
38I am YHWH your God, who brought you out from the land of Egypt, to give to you the land of Canaan, to be to you for God.
39And when your brother becomes poor with you, and is sold to you, you shall not make him serve (avad) the service (avodah) of a bondservant.
40As a hired one, as a settler he shall be with you; ad(עד) the year of the Jubilee he shall serve (avad) with you.
41Then he shall go out from with you, he and his sons with him, and he shall return to his family, and to the possession of his fathers he shall return.
42For they are my servants, whom I brought out from the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold with the sale of a bondservant.
43You shall not rule over him with harshness, but you shall fear from your God.
44And your bondservant and your maidservant whom you have: from the nations which are around you, from them you shall buy bondservant and maidservant.
45And also from the sons of the settlers who sojourn with you, from them you shall buy, and from their family which is with you, which they begot in your land; and they shall be to you for a possession.
46And you shall make them an inheritance for your sons after you, to inherit as a possession; forever you shall make them serve (avad); but over your brothers, the sons of Israel, a man (ish) over his brother, you shall not rule over him with harshness.
47And when the hand of a sojourner and settler with you attains wealth, and your brother becomes poor beside him, and is sold to a sojourner, a settler with you, or to an offshoot of a sojourner's family;
48after he is sold, a redemption shall be to him; one of his brothers may redeem him;
49or his uncle, or his uncle's son may redeem him, or from the kindred of his flesh (basar) from his family may redeem him; or his hand has attained, and he is redeemed.
50And he shall reckon with the one who bought him from the year of his being sold to him until the year of the Jubilee; and the money of his sale shall be by the number of years, according to the days of a hired one it shall be with him.
51If yet many are in the years, according to them he shall return his redemption from the money of his purchase.
52And if few remain in the years until the year of the Jubilee, then he shall reckon for him; according to his years he shall return his redemption.
53As a hired one year by year he shall be with him; he shall not rule over him with harshness before your eyes.
54And if he is not redeemed by these, then he shall go out in the year of the Jubilee, he and his sons with him.
55For to me the sons of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out from the land of Egypt: I am YHWH your God.
