Proverbs 10

Yeshua Literal Version (YLV)

The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a father glad, but a foolish son is the grief of his mother.

Treasures of wickedness do not profit, but righteousness delivers from death.

YHWH does not let the soul (nephesh) of the righteous go hungry, but the craving of the wicked he thrusts away.

Poor is he who works with a slack hand, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.

He who gathers in summer is a wise son; he who sleeps in harvest is a son who brings shame.

Blessings are upon the head of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

The memory of the righteous is for a blessing, but the name of the wicked rots.

The wise of heart receives commandments (mitzvot), but a fool of lips shall be thrown down.

He who walks in integrity walks securely, but he who perverts his ways shall be known.

He who winks the eye gives sorrow, and a fool of lips shall be thrown down.

A fountain of life (chai) is the mouth of the righteous, but the mouth of the wicked conceals violence.

Hatred stirs up strifes, but over all transgressions love covers.

In the lips of the discerning wisdom is found, but a rod is for the back of him who lacks heart.

The wise lay up knowledge, but the mouth of a fool is near destruction.

The wealth of the rich is his strong city; the ruin of the poor is their poverty.

The wages of the righteous is for life (chai); the produce of the wicked is for sin.

A path to life (chai) is he who keeps instruction, but he who forsakes reproof leads astray.

He who conceals hatred has lips of falsehood, and he who brings out slander, he is a fool.

In the multitude of words transgression does not cease, but he who restrains his lips is wise.

Choice silver is the tongue of the righteous; the heart of the wicked is worth little.

The lips of the righteous feed many, but fools die for lack of heart.

The blessing of YHWH, it makes rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.

Like sport to a fool is to do wickedness, but wisdom is to a man (ish) of understanding.

The dread of the wicked, it shall come upon him, but the desire of the righteous he grants.

As a whirlwind passes, so the wicked is no more, but the righteous is a foundation forever.

Like vinegar to the teeth and like smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to those who send him.

The fear of YHWH adds days, but the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

The hope of the righteous is gladness, but the expectation of the wicked perishes.

A stronghold to the blameless is the way of YHWH, but ruin to the workers of iniquity.

The righteous shall never be moved, but the wicked shall not dwell in the land.

The mouth of the righteous buds wisdom, but the tongue of perversities shall be cut off.

The lips of the righteous know favor, but the mouth of the wicked is perversities.
