Praise Yah. Give thanks to YHWH, for he is good, for his lovingkindness is forever.
Who can utter the mighty deeds of YHWH, make heard all his praise?
Happy are those who keep judgment (mishpat), who do righteousness at all times.
Remember me, YHWH, in the favor of your people; visit me with your salvation (yeshuah),
to look on the good of your chosen ones, to rejoice in the gladness of your nation, to glory with your inheritance.
We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly.
Our fathers in Egypt did not consider your wonders; they did not remember the abundance of your lovingkindnesses, and they rebelled at the sea, at the Sea of Reeds (yam suph).
And he saved them (yasha) for his name's sake, to make known his might.
And he rebuked the Sea of Reeds (yam suph) and it dried up, and he led them through the depths as through the wilderness.
And he saved them (yasha) from the hand of the hater, and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy.
And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them was left.
And they believed in his words; they sang his praise.
They hurried, they forgot his works; they did not wait for his counsel.
And they craved a craving in the wilderness, and they tested God in the desert.
And he gave them their request, and sent leanness into their soul (nephesh).
And they were jealous of Moses in the camp, of Aaron the holy one of YHWH.
The earth opened and swallowed Dathan, and covered over the company of Abiram.
And a fire burned in their company; a flame blazed the wicked.
They made a calf in Horeb, and bowed down to a molten image.
And they exchanged their glory for the likeness of an ox eating grass.
They forgot God their savior (yasha), who did great things in Egypt,
wonders in the land of Ham, awesome things by the Sea of Reeds (yam suph).
And he said to destroy them — had not Moses his chosen stood in the breach before him, to turn back his wrath from destroying.
And they despised the desirable land; they did not believe his word.
And they grumbled in their tents; they did not heed the voice of YHWH.
And he lifted up his hand to them, to make them fall in the wilderness,
and to make their seed fall among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands.
And they joined themselves to Baal Peor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
And they provoked him with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
And Phinehas stood and intervened, and the plague was stayed.
And it was counted to him for righteousness, to generation and generation forever.
And they angered him at the waters of Meribah, and it went ill for Moses because of them,
for they rebelled against his spirit (ruach), and he spoke rashly with his lips.
They did not destroy the peoples, as YHWH had said to them.
And they mingled among the nations, and learned their works.
And they served (avad) their idols, and they became a snare to them.
And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons,
And they shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan; and the land was polluted with blood.
And they were defiled by their works, and went whoring in their deeds.
And the anger of YHWH burned against his people, and he abhorred his inheritance.
And he gave them into the hand of the nations, and those who hated them ruled over them.
And their enemies oppressed them, and they were subdued under their hand.
Many times he delivered them, but they were rebellious in their counsel, and were brought low in their iniquity.
And he looked on their distress, when he heard their cry,
And he remembered for them his covenant (berit), and relented according to the abundance of his lovingkindnesses.
And he gave them for compassion before all their captors.
Save us (yasha), YHWH our God, and gather us from the nations, to give thanks to your holy name, to triumph in your praise.
Blessed be YHWH, the God of Israel, from everlasting and to everlasting; and let all the people say, "Amen." Praise Yah.
