Messiah Yeshua

The Meaning of Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה) & Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)

The Feminine and Masculine Forms of Yeshua Foretold in the Hebrew Scriptures

The Hebrew Scriptures record the name "Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)" in its feminine form, symbolizing the prophetic anticipation of the Messiah’s coming.
However, in the New Testament, the Messiah was born as a male child and bore the masculine form of the name "Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)."
This signifies the perfect fulfillment of God's ordained holy name, revealing a profound mystery concealed within the Hebrew Scriptures.

Feminine Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה):

The Prophesied Name of the Messiah in the Hebrew Scriptures

The name "Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)" appears multiple times in the Hebrew Scriptures, yet it has often been translated simply as "salvation."
However, this word is not merely a concept of salvation; rather, it prophetically declares the name of the Messiah, a truth that has remained hidden.

📖 Exodus 15:2
"The LORD is my strength and my song, and He has become my Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)!"

📖 Isaiah 12:2
"Behold, God is my Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)..."

Thus, the feminine "Yeshua (יְשׁוּעָה)" represents the divine name of salvation, appearing throughout the Hebrew Scriptures as a veiled reference to the Messiah.
Yet, due to translation, this word was rendered simply as "salvation," obscuring the name of Yeshua.

Masculine Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ):

The Male Child Who Came as the Messiah

The feminine "Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)" foretold in the Hebrew Scriptures was made flesh and became the masculine "Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)."
This transformation is not a mere phonetic change but a divine mystery embedded in the Scriptures.

📖 Isaiah 9:6
"For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given..."

📖 Luke 2:21
"And He was named Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)..."

Thus, although the Hebrew Scriptures recorded the feminine form "Yeshuah (יְשׁוּעָה)," the Messiah came in the flesh as the masculine "Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)," completing the name.

This is not merely a linguistic shift, but rather the divine fulfillment of God's eternal plan.
However, translators have obscured the name of Yeshuah(יְשׁוּעָה) in the Hebrew Scriptures, causing His name to appear disconnected between the Old and New Testaments.

Masculine Yeshua in Ezra and Nehemiah

The Foreshadowing of Yeshua, the High Priest of All Humanity

The masculine form of "Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ)" appears a total of 27 times in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah, identifying a key figure in the rebuilding of the Temple after the Babylonian exile.
High Priest Yeshua played a vital role in the restoration of the Temple, symbolizing the coming High Priest for all humanity—Yeshua, the Messiah.

The High Priest Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) and His Role

High Priest Yeshua (יֵשׁוּעַ) returned from exile and, alongside Zerubbabel, led the rebuilding of the Temple.
His name is repeatedly recorded, emphasizing the significance of Temple restoration and the priestly office.
He was not merely a historical figure but a key agent in the restoration of God's Temple and the sacrificial system.

The Foreshadowing of Yeshua, the High Priest for All Humanity

The High Priest Yeshua, who returned from Babylon to rebuild the Temple, foreshadows Yeshua, who would become the Temple itself.
He was tasked with restoring the earthly Temple, symbolizing the work of the coming High Priest, the incarnate Yeshua.
The ultimate High Priest, Yeshua, would fulfill and complete the Temple and bring redemption to all humanity.
